Nilgai doing harm in Bihar

Farmers in Bihar are troubled by hundreds of blue cows. According to media reports, a large number of nilgai come in herds in Jamalpur block and start grazing the fields. The problem faced by the farmers is that they are guarding the crops in severe cold. Some farmers are not able to reach the field in the cold winter, then Nilgai licks their crops. From the hilly areas of the district to the plains, Nilgai is causing harm.

Pulses crop planted in 5400 acres is getting ruined

Pulses crop has been sown in about 5400 acres in Munger block of Bihar. Nilgai is destroying this crop. Wheat, lentils, gram and mustard crops have been sown in Indrarukh, Rampur and Farda Bahiyar. 6 thousand rupees per acre has been spent in sowing the crop. But due to the harm caused by blue cows, the farmers are afraid that if this condition continues, they will not be able to cover the cost.

Seeking help from the state government

The farmers have appealed to the State Government for help. Local people say that the rain and drought in the Kharif season had damaged the crops. Efforts are on to save the crops from frost as well. But now a new crisis is in front of the farmers. Nilgai is grazing thousands of acres of crops. The productivity of crops will decrease due to Nilgai. The local people have sought help from the district administration, forest department and the state government.
